Returning to Activity After a Sports Injury:
What a Chiropractor Looks For

Pain resolution alone is not a clearance to return to full activity. The relevant questions are whether the joint has regained its range of motion, whether the surrounding structures are stable under load, and whether the movement pattern that caused the injury has been corrected.

Dr. Bronstein at Beacon Clinic of Chiropractic assesses these factors before recommending a return to activity. A premature return risks reinjury. A well-timed return, guided by functional testing, gives the athlete confidence that the recovery is complete.
